It mainly focuses on communities that may be affected by this contamination due to nearby Department of Defense installations. Currently, it is estimated that there are 400 suspected military sites that may be the cause of contamination within these communities.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Some provisions within this new bill include:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">$150 Million to research PFOA\/PFOS remediation and a firefighting agent replacement.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">$1.5 billion to cleanup military sites and environmental remediation.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Developing more research on PFOA\/PFOS <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The PIONEER system is the first of its kind whole-house lead, cyst and PFOA\/PFOS removal system.
