Massachusetts Receives More Than $1 Billion for Water Infrastructure Improvements

Massachusetts has announced more than $1 billion in low-interest loans to support drinking water and wastewater infrastructure improvements across the state. The funding, provided through the State Revolving Fund, will help finance 70 projects, including approximately $703 million for 41 wastewater construction projects and $315 million for 29 drinking water construction projects. The program has supported clean and safe water initiatives in Massachusetts for decades, helping communities modernize aging systems, improve treatment facilities and plan for long-term water reliability.
