ATOMUS®, a new family of proprietary filtration media solutions for the water treatment industry. These proprietary media are engineered to target Arsenic, Phosphate, Chromium, Fluoride, PFAS and others, whether used in Residential, Light Commercial, or Industrial Water Treatment applications.
The first innovative solutions to be introduced in the family are the binary adsorption filtration medias engineered for the removal of arsenic from potable water: ATOMUS® F11 and Z21. Powdered ATOMUS® F11 media is used in radial flow cartridges, and ATOMUS® Z21 granular media is used in ENPRESS Vortech® and Mid-Vortech® full-plate distributor plate tanks that reduce backwash during a system cleaning cycle while increasing flow and operational efficiency.
ATOMUS® F11 and Z21 media are NSF International certified to NSF/ANSI Standard 61, and are more resistant to interference from Silica, Phosphorus and Vanadium than other Arsenic removal medias on the market today. ATOMUS® media removes both Arsenics III and V simultaneously, with no backwash requirement when used in a high-flow ENPRESS ONE-E3® System.
ATOMUS® F11 and Z21 media have been tested and proven to provide a maximum removal capacity and improved stability against pH upset to prevent possible desorption of bound arsenic both during use and in landfill conditions ensuring successful evaluation against USEPA TCLP and California Wet Tests solutions, with an unparalleled, non-leachable Arsenic bond. Resistance to interference, superior leachables performance, and physical strength make ATOMUS® F11 and ATOMUS® Z21 the Arsenic filtration media solutions of the future.

ATOMUS® MD1 is a new proprietary filtration media solution for the water treatment industry specifically designed to simultaneously oxidize and adsorb organic and inorganic contaminants along with heavy metals that could be present in water.
This patented and proprietary chemistry creates a unique oxidative media that does not add residuals to the water stream or create harmful disinfectant byproducts. Unlike typical oxidation agents, such as ozone, chlorine, peroxide, citric acid, or bromine, ATOMUS® MD1 is a “solid state” oxidizing agent. Overall system simplification is paramount in the usage of ATOMUS® MD1, eliminating an Airdraw or standard control valve head, the use of salt, or oxidation agents for regeneration.

ATOMUS® O26 is a proprietary NSF/ANSI 61-certified granular filtration media solution for the water treatment industry, is designed to simultaneously oxidize iron, manganese and hydrogen sulfide that could be present in water. This patented and proprietary chemistry features a microporous substructure that is infused with a powerful oxidizing agent, therefore increasing the catalytic surface and giving ATOMUS® O26 the highest oxidation rate and load capacity available with no required chemical regeneration. It delivers consistent performance across a wide range of operating conditions and is effective across a broad pH range (5.8–8.6).
The technology displays no decaying effect or loss of catalysis for up to 5–10 years of continuous performance. The media operates with a continuous injection of sodium hypochlorite at low residual levels (0.1 to 0.3 ppm). Additional oxidants such as hydrogen peroxide (H2O2), chlorine dioxide (ClO2), or ozone can be used as long as a residual can be measured and maintained. With the use of chlorine during the filtration process, the media is kept free from bacterial biofouling and slime growth. ATOMUS® O26 can additionally remove phosphorus, nickle, zinc, lead, copper, aluminum, arsenic and other heavy metals.
